Yesterday, Karla and I headed straight from work to SM Megamall Megatrade Halls 1 to 3 to check out the Preview Shopping of Baby Company's Grand Baby Fair 2017.

Since it was just the Preview Shopping (exclusive sale), I was expecting a lesser crowd.  But to my surprise, there were a lot of moms and dads and babies with carts full of nice products. It was a happy crowd - definitely satisfied customers.

For millennial moms like us, the Grand Baby Fair is our shopping haven, we do not mind the crowd, not even the long queues. We opt to bear the small inconveniences to slowly look for good deals and to happily curate our shopping haul.

But the good thing about The Grand Baby Fair is, it is not just a venue to buy the trusty products that our babies currently use and need, it is also a venue to discover unique and beyond the ordinary products - products that cater to specific needs or product innovations that were created for unmet needs.

So, let me share with you the 8 unique and amazing product finds that rose above the inventory clutter:

1. Beginnings Baby (An all white garment store)

Beginnings Baby advocate the use of white garments for babies up to 1 year of age. The white color enables the parents to easily spot stains, dirt and even insect. Pediatricians recommend the use of white garments because is is clean and cool to baby's skin.

The sales staff in their booth hand customers a Beginnings Baby checklist that guides parents with the essential clothing their baby needs. They also have a poster size of the checklist for easy reference. You will also have the option to touch the sample items for you to get a feel of the type and quality of cotton fabric they use. With just the feel of it, I may say that their fabric is a good quality product.

2. Baby Leaf Cloth Diapers

Baby Leaf promotes the use of high-quality, all-natural and eco-friendly items for babies most especially when it comes to diapers. They advocate cloth diapering for its health,  economical and environmental benefits.

Disposable diapers were all over the fair but the Baby Leaf cloth diapers caught my attention because of its uniqueness not to mention the cute and stylish designs.

3. Sacred Cleanser

Sacred Cleanser is the simplest newborn cleanser, made with love for the first six month. Sacred is the only cleanser that contains absolutely zero scents and fragrances, zero irritating acids, and of course, zero creepy chemicals such as methylisothiazolinone, phenoxyethanol, and all types of parabens. (Product information from the Sacred Facebook Page).

There were a lot of other cleansers being sold in the Grand Baby Fair. This brand stood out because they claim to be the "safest cleanser for newborns up to six months of age". They were also very clear in stating that they do not use any chemical. They even went to the extent of enumerating the absence of all those nasty chemicals. I am convinced that they really want to make a point here - that Sacred is really, really gentle and safe for babies. :)

4. Organic Wipes

Organic Wipes are infused with organic aloe vera, known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, to prevent nappy rash. Since it is organic, it does not contain any harsh chemicals and are hypoallergenic. It does not have paraben, alcohol, chlorine and any other harsh chemicals. It is 100% biodegradeable too which makes it softer and safer to use for babies.

These wipes are perfect for sensitive babies. It is free of those harsh chemicals and it is eco-friendly since it is biodegradable. I love it when brands think of ways to help the world to be a better place :).

I usually buy these wipes during sale because it comes out very cheap - only 1 peso per piece. Such a good buy!

5. Safety 1st Bed Rail

Safety 1st is known for products that promote the safety and security of children.

A lot of moms need this most especially when their babies start to crawl and even stand on the beds. Good thing it is available in the Baby Fair as it may be a bit hard to find in some stores. I always see in the forums that they need this item.

6. Ecomom

Ecomom is a sterilizer that uses UV and anion to kill 99.9% bacteria and molds. It is suitable for baby bottles, breastpump parts, teething beads and toys.

This is a wonderful product as it does not only sterilize bottles but it is spacious enough to sterilize toys! How wonderful it is to sanitize toys in just one click.

7. Crane Humidifiers and Air Purifiers

Crane humidifiers help to add humidity to any room in your home and will help to relieve congestion to keep your family healthy. Crane air purifiers help to eliminate dust, pollen, pet dander and smoke leaving germ free air in your home. (Product information from the Crane USA website.)

These humidifiers and air purifiers are perfect for families with kids and babies as the products are designed to look like cute toys.

8.  Belly Bandit

Belly Bandit helps shrink, tighten and control the belly.

I was led to it as it promises to solve my major body problem - my mom belly. I was even surprised to know that Belly Bandit does not just offer products for moms who recently gave birth. They also have a product called Belly Tucker that can be used by moms (like me) who still have belly problems years after giving birth.

The Grand Baby Fair will be until January 29 (Sunday) at the SM Megamall Megatrade Halls 1, 2 and 3. See for yourself and be amazed with what the Grand Baby Fair has in store for you.

  1. Hi! Just wondering, do you think the Crane humidifier/purifier and Ecomom sterilizer are necessities or just nice to have? I hesitated buying these items when I was at the fair.

  2. Hi Michelle! Thanks for dropping by. I think humidifier/ air purifier is a necessity if your child is asthmatic or prone to allergies. Sterilizer is essential especially for bottle feeding babies. Ecomom is a great find since it's not limited to bottles. You may even sterilize toys and feeding tools. It's a product that grows with your baby.
