My Grand Baby Fair 2017 Experience: A Perspective of a Mom with Toddlers

Every year since I gave birth to my first child in 2011, I look forward to doing my baby needs shopping at the Baby Company Grand Baby Fair. It truly is a one-stop shop for all our baby needs. As my children entered the toddler age, I thought that the Grand Baby Fair will no longer be something that I could enjoy or relate to but I was completely wrong. Every year, the lineup of participating brands and products keep on evolving and adding up!

Since the event covers all the halls of SM Megamall Megatrade, new joiners might find it overwhelming so here are my tips for an enjoyable and “sulit” experience:


1. Make a list of things that you need to buy: the essentials, the nice-to-haves, and even possible gift items for other babies and children. I do this all the time and it helps me stick with my budget. I get all essentials first and eventually move on to the nice-to-haves and gift items.

2. Ask about the freebies and discounts offered by the booths. This is the fun part specially since these could be a lot of useful items! This year, I found very good deals for my toddlers’ needs such as Citronella/ Mosquito patches from Cycles and BiteBlock (buy1take1/buy2take1), Lactacyd (free mini Lactacyd item), Tempra (free head and neck pillow, thermometer, pencils, erasers, sharpener, and eco bag), Baby Belo colognes (free Baby Belo products and luggage tag), Farlin wipes (free feeding bottle set and mini wipes packets), Pigeon wipes (discount), bath washes e.g. BabyFlo Oatmeal wash, Drypers Head to Toe wash, and Johnson’s Milk Bath (discounts and free items).

3. Bring a companion or a shopping buddy! Together, you can explore more products and offers. You might also need extra arms and legs to help you with the stuff that you will buy.

4. Don’t forget your Mom Card and Swag Bag! - The Mom Card earns points for every purchase at any Baby Company store. During the Grand Baby Fair, single-receipt purchases of at least 5k entitles Mom Card holders to a free swag bag that includes a good number of freebies from the participating brands in the Grand Baby Fair. For those who would like to get or renew their Mom Cards, a registration booth for applications and renewals is located on the entrance of Megatrade Hall 1.
