Maricel Cua is a happy wife and a mom to an 11 year old young lady. Having started The Parenting Emporium with Beng Feliciano, she is able to live her passions and advocacies daily. The Parenting Emporium provides family and parenting essentials through carefully curated products, learning events, support groups, and parenting community.

What inspired you to start your own business? 
My own parenting journey inspired me along with my #ParenthoodShared Moments with my best friend and co-founder, Beng Feliciano. 

What’s the best part of being a mompreneur? 
The best part is being able to help other parents and getting help at the same time because we can all relate to each other and support each other accordingly. 

What is the biggest challenge you faced as a mompreneur? 
 The biggest challenge is finding the time to help everyone who needs help! 

How do you balance work and family time? 
It isn’t currently balanced – I am still working on this.

How do you see yourself in the future? 
Hopefully, better at balancing all my roles in life and inspiring more parents to practice #ParenthoodShared in a loving and supportive manner. 

Any tips for moms thinking of starting a business?
It must be something they truly love and feel passionately about because when the going gets tough, they’ll need a strong anchor to keep at it. 

What's your advise/message to new moms? 
Decide on your family’s values and agree on this with your partner then stand firm when practices are questioned. Remember that each family has their own brand of parenting and you will know best how to handle your children. 

What are your top 3 recommended must haves for moms? Why? 

1. A loving and supportive community : no man/woman is an island and growing together, sharing the journey always helps rejuvenate and uplift one’s spirits for another day of selfless mothering.  

2. Safe wipes/sanitizer : because there is always something to clean/sanitize.

3. Safe facial and body wash : because the skin is our largest organ and what we put on our children’s skin as well as ours can cause many health problems and discomforts.
