All-White Infant Apparel by Beginnings Baby

By Gwen Llana-Serrano

As a first-time mom, I am quite cautious in the purchases I make for my baby girl, especially when it comes to her clothes. When I was pregnant, I did a lot of research on what infants should wear.  Of course, we, moms, only want what’s best for our baby’s sensitive skin. So from both online research and tips from veteran mommies, I got myself familiar with the essential things to look into when searching for baby clothes such as fabric, size, and safety.

Bearing in mind the things I learned in what to look for in baby clothes, I searched for clothing brands that offer quality garments that will be comfortable for my child without going over my budget.  This search led me to a local brand named Beginnings Baby, which I believe has all the must-haves of a quality baby garment. Founded in 2009, Beginnings Baby is the “first all-white newborn baby apparel brand” in the Philippines.

Beginnings Baby boasts of a wide array of baby garments made specially for newborns and infants until 12 months old.  With each item delicately made from soft cotton, Beginnings Baby clothes line includes tie-sides, sleepsuits, t-shirts, bodysuits, sleeveless clothes, cardigans, shorts, pajamas, undies, booties, caps, shoes, blankets, mittens, bibs, to name a few.

I became curious with the brand’s main advocacy, which is to promote the importance of using white garments for babies in their first year. The brand cites the following as reasons for making babies wear white clothings:
•    Preferred by pediatricians for newborns
•    Easier to spot stains and dirt
•    Easier to detect insects
•    Clean and cool to baby’s skin

With the many great features of Beginnings Baby’s products, I was encouraged to try its white t-shirts and pajamas on my 3-month-old baby girl.  It’s fair enough to say that the baby clothes did not disappoint me.  The white shirt and pajama are made of cotton, so they are soft enough for baby. And because the fabric is light, my baby did not sweat a lot wearing the all-white outfit. Considering the warm weather in our country, it’s really a good choice of clothes for my baby.

I must also give two thumbs up for the quality of the clothes.  Even after several washings, the fabric remains as good as new.  Moreover, what I like best about this baby clothes brand is that it allows you to have the best products for your baby without shelling out a great amount of cash.

The only downside I see of this brand is that, since it’s just new, it is available in limited stores in the country.  Here’s a list of their stores nationwide: Beginnings Baby Stores.

Other than that, I suggest you begin filling your baby’s cabinet with soft white apparels from Beginnings Baby.
